Joined Scott Wayne Associates in Boston November 1971 while still attending Night College. In addition, he attended Dale Carnegie Institute (Tom was offered a Assistant Instructor’s position after his completion of the courses).After working at Scott Wayne Associates for almost a year placing Accounting Professionals he was transferred to Franklin Pierce Associates the Administrative Support Placement Division of Scott Wayne Associates.
Tom's career blossomed over the next decade where he made his 1000th placement in the business October 1981. He rose from a Staffing Consultant to Senior Consultant to Vice President to Senior Vice President... Franklin Pierce Associates was sold in 1997 to Venturi Partners a national full service employment agency with 135 offices and from 1998 to 2002 he attended all of the Venturi's Top Sales Performance Club's. Tom had a combined total of over 5500 candidates placed and jobs filled by him and the efforts of his staff. Tom, to this day, is the all time "Top Producer" in the history of Venturi Partners/Franklin Pierce Associates.
The former Founder and CEO Robert W Jeffrey of Scott Wayne and Franklin Pierce Associates and quoted- "How Tom Romano goes, So goes the Company!" (I am very proud of that and will never forget!)
After leaving Venturi Partners Tom went over to The Hegan Roessle Group a Boston based staffing firm. Tom, in a 10 month period, produced 1/3 of the total billings for both temp and perm operations.
Tom started TER Consulting, LLC. based on his VALUES, INTEGRITY, TRUST AND
LOVE OF THE STAFFING BUSINESS!
Tom has a talent for training and mentoring the "BEST” recruiters in the Business! Several of them are now owners or CEO's of other agencies in the Boston Area.
Tom's Associations and Personal passions are FAMILY, Italian Cooking, Golf, Fan of The Boston Red Sox, The New England Patriots, The Boston Bruins especially the era of 1969-1975, The World Champion Boston Celtics and Active Member of 101st Infantry Veterans Association.
